Upon arrival at the border checkpoint our local guide will welcome you. After check in, we explore Ban Nam Chang Village where local whisky is produced and made from sticky rice. During the day, we’ll also stop to visit other hill tribe villages and have lunch at a local restaurant. Check in will be at the Boat Landing Guesthouse.

After breakfast, we travel by minibus to Muong Sing, on the way we stopping to visit some Ekor (Aka) and Lan Taen people. After lunch we learn more of the ethnic minority way of life and visit Chieng Tung stupa, Ban Nam Ded and Ban Nam Mai villages as well as the Laos-China border check point. We return to Muong Sing in the late afternoon. Accommodation at the Phou Iu Bungalow.

Today we drive towards Muong La. Lunch will be in Udom Xay, and on the way we stop to visit more villages, arriving in Muong La in the late afternoon. After check in at a local homestay or Resort, you are free on your own to explore and walk around, meeting Khmu people or visiting a local sacred temple. Overnight in Muang La

After breakfast, we drive around 64 Km to Pak Nam Noi village, which is the junction between Muong Khoua and Phongsaly Provinces. After Lunch in Muong Khoua, we take a private traditional boat downstream on the Nam Ou River. The pace is slow and relaxed, allowing for some serene moments, and viewing the daily life of people on the river. Check in at the best Bungalow in Muong Ngoi.

After breakfast, we continue 01 hour cruise down on Nam Ou river to Nong Khiau. Upon arrival in Nongkhiaw, we drive to visit Tam Pha Tok cave, where local villagers hidden during the Indochina war. Afterwards, we begin the journey drive through beautiful unspoiled natural and amazing rolling mountains to Luang Prabang. On the way have a short break to visit Ban Na Yang village, where the famous Thai Lui tribe take place on the ancient wooden room to product clothing silk and the cotton. We reach ban Pakou in the lunch time and we board a cruise down on the Mekong River, which gives a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. Along the way we stop at the Pak Ou Caves, sanctuaries consisting of two large caverns, both repositories for thousands of Buddha images. . Overnight in Luang Prabang.

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms giving ritual to saffron clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession.
After breakfast, we visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture throughout the ages. We then walk through the quiet backstreets of Luang Prabang, being introduced to French colonial-era buildings of historical importance or architectural significance. Begin at the junction of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, at the site of one of the grandest French buildings still standing. Learn about the original purpose of this structure and its significance to Luang Prabang trade. From here, stroll to a collection of other well-preserved French buildings. See the French school, the French hospital (now is Amantaka hotel), the house of a wealthy Chinese merchant (now is Le Calao Restaurant), and residences which once belonged to the erstwhile royal family (now is Victoria Xiengthong palace hotel). Find out firsthand why Luang Prabang is well-known for more than its gilded temples. We will make sure to visit the city’s oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic set in colored glass. We’ll visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We also have a short visit to Wat Phonphao on top of a small hill which has beautiful architecture and great view of the city from the top.
Once back to the city, we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textile made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

After breakfast, we head out of town 30km to the beautiful Kuang Sii Fall. En route, stop and short tour visit Buffalo Dairy Farm. The tour will be lasted about 40minutes -Tour included a guide tour of the mini farm, Buffalo feeding & Washing, Milking Demonstration, & Feeding Chickens and rabbits. Afterwards, we visit some ethnic minority villages and see how these colorful people live. We then continue to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths. Return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
