After breakfast, visit the fascinating Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan), an open-air sculpture park featuring more than 200 remarkable Buddhist and Hindu statues overlooking the Mekong River.

If time permits, browse the bustling Morning Market or visit Ban Nong Bouathong, a traditional weaving village known for its handcrafted Lao textiles (closed on weekends and public holidays).

In the afternoon, board the Laos-China High-Speed Railway for the scenic journey to Vang Vieng, a charming riverside town surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains.

Upon arrival, relax and enjoy sunset views along the peaceful Nam Song River.

Today’s excursion showcases Vang Vieng’s spectacular karst landscape.

Begin at Tham Jang Cave, once used as a refuge by local villagers and now one of the region’s most iconic caves.

Continue through rice paddies and rural villages to Tham Phu Kham Cave, one of Laos’ finest limestone caverns. A crystal-clear natural lagoon at its entrance provides the perfect place for a refreshing swim.

Later, visit Blue Lagoon 3, a peaceful natural swimming spot surrounded by lush forest. Relax in the cool waters, enjoy the floating bamboo rafts, or test your balance on the famous horizontal tree trunk stretching across the lagoon.

Return to Vang Vieng in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, continue your journey aboard the high-speed train to Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage city celebrated for its remarkable preservation and spiritual atmosphere.

Visit the Royal Palace Museum, offering fascinating insight into Laos’ royal history through an impressive collection of artefacts.

In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi for panoramic views across Luang Prabang, where the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers meet.

End the day exploring the lively Night Market, renowned for locally made handicrafts and hill tribe textiles.

Board a traditional boat for a leisurely cruise along the Mekong River, passing tranquil villages and scenic mountain landscapes.

Visit the sacred Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha images placed by pilgrims over centuries.

Continue to Ban Xang Hai, famous for its traditional Lao rice whisky (Lao Lao), before crossing to Ban Xieng Mene and climbing to Wat Chom Phet, where you’ll enjoy one of the finest panoramic views of Luang Prabang.

On the return journey, visit Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, two artisan villages renowned for traditional silk weaving and handmade Saa (mulberry bark) paper.

After breakfast, travel into the countryside to visit Ban Long Lao, where Hmong and Khmu communities live side by side, offering a glimpse into the traditions and daily life of two of Laos’ most prominent ethnic groups.

Continue to the nearby Buffalo Dairy Farm for an engaging guided visit. Learn about sustainable farming practices, watch a buffalo milking demonstration, interact with the animals, and sample locally produced buffalo dairy products (optional).

The journey continues to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfalls, one of Laos’ most iconic natural attractions. Spend time swimming in the turquoise pools, relaxing beneath the forest canopy, or walking along shaded trails to the upper cascades. Along the way, visit the Bear Rescue Centre, dedicated to protecting endangered Asiatic black bears.

On the return to Luang Prabang, stop at Ock Pop Tok Living Crafts Centre, beautifully situated on the Mekong River. Discover traditional Lao weaving, natural dyeing, and batik-making while enjoying a peaceful riverside sunset.
